Ginger Spice is the second daughter born to our foundation dam Olivia. Like her mother, Ginger has fine fiber with luster and crimp. Ginger has good conformation and correct bite. She is an attentive mother, with ample milk for her babies. Yarn spun from Ginger’s fleece is available in our farm store, and it is a joy to work with.
We selected Riddick, a medium fawn Spruce Ridge Farm herdsire, for Ginger’s first breeding. An Evander son, Riddick is a multiple reserve champion and blue ribbon winner. Riddick’s offspring are carrying on his genetic excellence, and we knew he was the perfect match for Ginger, whose own mother is a Royal Fawn granddaughter. We are anticipating a wonderful cria from this pair in October 2008.
Ginger gave birth to a medium brown boy that we named Roderigo, on 10/16/08. Look for more information about him on our Crias page. Roderigo has such promise, that we repeated the breeding of Ginger to Riddick for a fall, 2009 birth.
Ginger and Riddick have a son! Giacobazzi is a beautiful medium
brown male with just a touch of white on his face. His fleece is
loaded with character, as is his personality!
Ginger has been bred to Mighty Fine Finnegan for a Fall 2010 cria.
With a blue-ribbon show career as testimony to his density and
fineness, Finnegan was the perfect choice to sire Ginger's next
September 1010 Update: Ginger gave birth to a dark fawn girl with dark brown points. We named this little beauty Chickadee. Please look for her on our Crias page.
Ginger is offered for sale with a live birth guarantee and a free breeding to one of our award winning herdsires.
