Danica was the first female cria born to our award-winning dam Chanel. At birth she was covered with tight dark fawn curls that were amazing to see. Danica has been a joy to watch mature, with her gentle, friendly personality and charisma. Danica has beautiful, well-covered straight legs, excellent conformation, correct bite and an alluring face. These attributes earned her first place at her first show in a shorn class this summer. Her fiber is fine, dense and consistent in color and crimp, just like that of her half-brother Braveheart, one of our blue ribbon herdsires. Like Braveheart, Danica is easy to handle and wonderful around children.

Danica comes from outstanding genetics on both sides of her lineage. Her dam, Chanel, is the offspring of medium fawn, multiple champion CPeruvian Winchester (out of Hobby Horse Farm), who has sired many champions. Danica’s sire, Hilltop’s Dreamer’s Advocate, is also a multiple champion, with award-winning offspring including our own Velvetina. Advocate is also the sire of our young maiden Rosalia. All three of these females clearly exemplify the quality that Advocate passes on to his offspring, in wonderful compliment to the genetic excellence of our dams.

Fall, 2009 Update:

Danica has been bred to 9 time Color Champion Rumm Runner (ARI 3062397)from CCAP Alpacas, for a summer 2010 birth.   What a promising match for our dear Danica!

Summer 2010 Update:

"Fieldmaster" is the name we chose for the son of Danica and Rumm Runner.  He certainly has a masterful appearance, with his dense bay black color and regal stance.  This cria is truly one to follow, as we anticipate a bright future for Danica's firstborn son.

April, 2011:  Fieldmaster has taken the Blue Ribbon and Reserve Champion Banner at his first two shows, the very competitive North American Alpaca Show and the MAPACA Jubilee.  Awesome!  He was awarded another Blue and RC Banner at Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular.  Future  Herdsire status for this one!

Danica has been bred to HRF Challenger, for a Fall 2011 offspring.   This should be another exciting pairing for Danica,(especially judging by the Challenger cria her half-sister, Velvetina, gave birth to this year).

October, 2011:  Introducing Danica's cria Theodora, a dark fawn female, who always looks very pleased with herself!  And we agree, Theo is very pleasing to look at, especially with the same presence we see in her champion half-brother, Fieldmaster.

We opted to leave Danica open for the winter, to get her on an early summer breeding cycle.  It wasn't an easy decision, as Danica is a fantastic mother, producing offspring with that "WOW" factor.  (We have plans for her next breeding, but we're keeping a lid on them for now).
